Maintaining Clean Kitchen

Food preparation is done in kitchens, thus, it is vital that your kitchen should be clean and organised as much as possible to avoid food contamination and spoilage. Rule of the thumb in any kitchen — whether in the home or in restaurants and hotels — is “clean as you go.” Wash kitchen utensils right away after use. Pots and pans must be rinsed as soon as possible to avoid food particles to harden. Dirty dishes should be placed immediately in the dishwasher and if possible, be washed immediately. Always keep your counters and your stove clean as much as possible by removing clutter and wiping the surfaces when necessary. Preparing ingredients for cooking may be an arduous task but if you take conscious effort to follow the clean-as-you-go rule, you will maintain a clean and organised kitchen no matter what you are cooking.
