Housekeeping in Camper Vans

As you journey on the road, your motorhome picks up all the dust and the dirt that it passes by. This is enough reason for your mobile home to get proper housekeeping and care too, just like a normal house. Cleaning your camper van can be divided into two parts — exterior and interior cleaning. Exterior cleaning involves washing and wiping the whole metal housing of your vehicle and its tyres and wheels. Remember that it is better to wash your motorhome at night to prevent water spots from forming. Cleaning under the sun can result in the formation of stubborn water spots. It is also advisable to add half a cup of vinegar to a pail of water to neutralise the alkaline in the water, thus preventing the blotches from shaping up.

Wash the tyres using your hands so that you can reach inconspicuous areas. Aside from that, you will easily spot anything unusual that happens to your tyres such as air leaking from them because of a hole. Interior cleaning in your motorhome can be quite a challenge because of the narrow space and limited resources. Unlike a normal home, caravans are harder to maintain because the owner does not have all the necessary and appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. However, this is not an excuse to neglect housekeeping inside the motorhome. As long as the owner has the most important basic cleaning supplies like a broom, rags and cloths, and a variety of specialised cleaners, he/she is good to go.
